3D wheel alignment equipment with BMW quick action clamp with tracer pins. The tracer pins are positioned in the polycontrol bores of the wheel rim, allowing the vehicle to be measured without wheel rim impact compensation (vehicle roll-in). The use of sensitive measuring technology on the wheel is not required due to 3D reflectors. The data transfer between the pickups on the axis measuring station and the equipment cabinet takes place wirelessly via Bluetooth. In addition, the pickups are supplied via a NiMH battery, which makes a costly cable routing on the wheel alignment station unnecessary. Throughout the measuring process, the ride height is continuously transmitted to the wheel alignment computer. This means the correct nominal data are determined and compared with the actual data at all times according to the ride height.
