Tire changer with wheel diagnostic functions for mounting and demounting UHP and run-flat tires up to 32 inch rim diameter.
Two plastic bead breaking rollers, synchronised with one another, are integrated for gentle tyre removal. Depending on the penetration depth, an optimal inclination of both bead breaking rollers towards the tyre is automatically set.
The disassembly of the tyre is performed by using an integrated assembly finger; no assembly lever is required.
The machine is operated via a control panel in which all control levers and control buttons are intuitively arranged.
In addition to the possibility of tyre assembly and disassembly, the tyre changer is equipped with a diagnostic function. The diagnostic function enables the detection of vibration problems that cannot be eliminated by balancing the complete wheel. These are so-called radial force fluctuations. These radial force fluctuations can be caused by non-round rims or non-round and hard spots in the tyre. The Corghi Uniformity determines these force fluctuations by means of a pressure roller, in which a force corresponding to the tyre load index is pressed against the complete wheel. After the measurement, recommendations are displayed as to how the tyre and rim must be rotated in relation to one another in order to obtain the smallest force fluctuations.
Side draught problems caused by the tyre can be identified and reduced using an additional integrated lateral force measurement.
Using a laser, the tread depth of the tyre is determined for diagnostic purposes and the geometry of the rim is checked before performing the tyre assembly.
All diagnostic functions enable the complete wheel to be optimized during the tyre assembly, so that the complete wheel only needs to be balanced afterwards.
All operating steps for the assembly, disassembly and diagnosis of tyres are carried out via an LCD screen.
